Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building reliable, secure software in production environments.
- Comfortable working full-stack across our primary technologies (we use Python/Django, React, AWS, and AI tools).
- Writes clean, maintainable code and cares deeply about testing, observability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship production-grade full-stack systems across our core workflows (Python/Django, React).
- Implement and scale features that utilize AI/LLM capabilities (OpenAI & more) to automate complex administrative and data-intensive legal work.
- Build in safety, observability, and performance from the start, ensuring high-quality releases in a rapid development environment.
- Help shape and influence our engineering culture, tech stack, and best practices as a key early team member.

- Partner closely with product, operations, design, and legal experts to define requirements and deliver high real-world impact.
- Thrives in ambiguous environments, takes pride in figuring things out, and is decisive and pragmatic.
- Cares as much about product outcomes and solving real-world customer problems as about technical decisions.
- Ability to work in-person 4 days/week in our NYC office (Flatiron) for high-context collaboration (Hybrid).
