Serco is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Federation Integration and Testing program for the United States Air Force (USAF) Combat Air Force (CAF) Distributed Mission Operations Network (DMON) program, aiming to enable a worldwide distributed mission training capability through the integration, test, deployment, and sustainment of complex modeling & simulation (M&S) systems.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C++ and C-Sharp development using Visual Studio.
- Familiarity with Git for version control.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably PowerShell, Bash, Python, JavaScript.
- Experience working with HLA and DIS protocols.
- Familiarity with IEEE, MIL, and SISO standards, including understanding the contents and relationships between DIS network packets.
- Experience writing and executing unit tests.
- Proficiency with development and collaboration tools including JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, SourceTree, JFrog, SonarQube, and Bamboo.
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications.
- Support and/or install software applications and operating systems.
- Support the software testing lifecycle through detailed documentation, test reviews, requirements analysis, code reviews, and test verification activities to ensure software quality and certification readiness.
- Contribute to software documentation maintenance and configuration management processes.
- Conduct and document code reviews to maintain quality and compliance with program standards.
- Perform software requirements analysis to ensure traceability to program’s system-level requirements.
- Work with TENA, HLA, and DIS protocols for distributed simulation environments.
Other
- Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Ability to quickly adapt and work on multiple software applications simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
- The ability to work on-site in Orlando, Florida.
