Schonfeld's Accounting and Valuation Technology (AVT) team needs to provide accurate T0 and T+1 Position, P&L & Transactions Data via its shadow accounting system (Advent Geneva) to key organizational stakeholders. The team also supports automation needs for Fund Accounting in Investor Reporting, Portfolio Manager performance payout estimations and allocations, and provides valuation for complex OTC products and derivatives.
Requirements
- Three to seven years of experience in cloud-based Java microservices development
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience with building and consuming from REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka preferred)
- Experience and knowledge of Advent Geneva or similar multi-currency portfolio accounting systems
- Experience and knowledge of AWS Cloud data services, including S3, RDS/Aurora, Iceberg, etc.
- Experience and knowledge of Containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Prefect, etc.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy and support existing applications as well as new features and platforms.
- Participate in an Agile framework, continuously improving and expanding platform capabilities based on constantly evolving business requirements.
- Provide Level 3 support across the globe.
- Maintain and enhance the integration between our shadow accounting system (Advent Geneva), end of day pricing services, and data warehouse.
- Contribute to a highly supportable, future-ready, performant code base.
- Build microservices that deploy to the cloud (AWS) using containers orchestrated by Kubernetes.
- Extend REST and GraphQL-based APIs.
