Humana is looking to solve the problem of putting health first for their teammates, customers, and company by hiring a Software Engineer to code software applications based on business requirements.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Master's Degree
- High speed DSL or cable modem for a home office
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required
- Dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
- Ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office
Responsibilities
- The Software Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements.
- The Software Engineer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software.
- Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes.
- Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues.
- Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
- Follows established guidelines/procedures.
- Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
Other
- Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
