Rapid Cycle Solutions LLC (RCS) is seeking a Software Engineer to develop the global infrastructure and delivery solutions that drive influence of operations, with a focus on information security and tech ops.
Requirements
- Experience with one or more of the following: Computer networking in Windows AND Linux, Use of common online services in a persona-specific environment, Website configuration, Basic software development knowledge
- Experience with customer regulations and standards, including Information Security (INFOSEC) and Communications Security (COMSEC).
- Evaluating emerging technologies and identifying areas of improvements to meet requirements
- Computer and network vulnerabilities (e.g., malware, zero-day attacks, denial of service attacks, etc.)
- Rapid7, WebInspect, AppDetective, CIS-CAT, and other vulnerability assessment tools and processes
- Information security certifications such as CISSP, CISSE, CISA, CEH, CCSP, etc.
- IT tools, methodologies, technologies, and industry trends (to include social media and web)
Responsibilities
- Information Security Support
- Responsible for the physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness in regard to information security
- Support the maintenance, deployment, and security posture of deployed infrastructure and technical solutions
- Will work with the ISSM and ISO in monitoring the information system(s) and its environment of operations to include developing and updating the authorization documentation and implementing configuration management across authorization boundaries.
- Assess security impacts of changes and make recommendations to the ISSM.
- Managing security aspects of deployed infrastructure and technical solutions, in addition to day-to-day security operations.
- Eliciting information on complex technical problems from non-technical personnel for use in diagnosis, analysis, resolution of problems.

- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, system administration or a related discipline
- Strategically planning efforts, identifying issues, negotiating changes, proactively anticipating needs, and analyze complex requirements with stakeholders, and allocate resources in a given timeline to achieve desired mission outcomes.
- Effectively communicating (oral and written) to convey complex technical information for a variety of audiences (i.e., technical and non-technical).
- Making decisions and managing competing priorities, schedules, risks, stakeholder requirements and interdependencies on a variety of technical, resource, and organizational issues, even in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
