This involves designing, developing, and maintaining simulation models and virtual environments to train military pilots and personnel, impacting the creation of next-generation flight simulators and training devices.
Requirements
- minimum of three years of experience in software engineering
- strong background in programming with C/C++
- Experience working within an agile development environment
- experience with object-oriented architecture
- design patterns
- familiarity with simulation standards and tools such as DIS, DMO, HLA, Jira, Jenkins, Gitlab, and CMake
- Prior experience with aircraft platforms, aviation, or simulation systems
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and development of simulation models, visualizations, and virtual environments to ensure high fidelity and operational relevance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze simulation requirements, translating them into technical specifications and system designs.
- Oversee validation and verification activities, executing test procedures, analyzing results, and refining simulation software to meet real-world data benchmarks.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of algorithms, models, and technical specifications to support ongoing development and future enhancements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation software with hardware systems, ensuring seamless operation across platforms.
- Implement emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance simulation capabilities and efficiency.
- Manage simulation software projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, within an agile framework.
