Thomson Reuters Special Services (TRSS) is looking for a Software Engineer to design new software solutions for customers, support and extend the full stack of the TRSS solutions suite, and deliver global data using advanced search, big data ingestion, and analytical processing.
Requirements
- Backend: Python, Java, SpringBoot
- Database: MongoDB, MySQL
- Devops: Docker, Jenkins, Git, Maven
- Frontend: React (Preferred), Angular, or Vue
- AWS experience strongly desired
- Neo4J or other graph technology
- Kafka
Responsibilities
- Turn ideas into technical solutions with minimal direction
- Lead projects or efforts and act as a mentor to less experienced developers
- Design, implement, and deliver software solutions and data science efforts, as well as enhance and support existing applications
- Engage the TRSS analytical staff to gather requirements, generate ideas, and develop documentation
- Demo new software solutions as needed
- Learn and expand skill set on the job
- Own work and be passionate about the success of the customer
Other
- B.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering or relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3-10 years of professional software development experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship essential to comply with government contract/agency or department of Federal Government requirements
- Strong moral and ethical character and a strong personal work ethic
