Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience with healthcare data analysis. Strong data manipulation skills using database and spreadsheet applications.
- 2+ years’ experience within the Healthcare or Insurance space in a Data Warehouse operations organization.
- Ability to use SQL (SSMS) and other data tools to analyze diverse data sets.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong understanding of Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processing
- Demonstrated understanding of SQL Server Integration Services
- Understanding of prevalent Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies with specific exposure or participation in Agile/Scrum techniques
Responsibilities
- Responsible for data management and data quality.
- Host and facilitate discussions with Healthcare data carriers to (1) manage data intake, and (2) ensure all client data requirements are discussed and confirmed.
- Perform data quality checks verifying that data provided is consistent with the requirements to build Claims, Member, Eligibility, etc. databases.
- Analyze and Profile incoming client data to understand what is being provided.
- Map incoming client data to existing databases according to standards in place.
- Work with engineers to test all incoming data to make sure that it is loaded correctly.
- Optimization and tuning of SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Ability to work well independently or in a team environment.
