Humata Health Inc. is looking to solve the problem of streamlining healthcare workflows by leveraging advanced AI/ML platforms and MLOps infrastructure to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on large-scale, highly available backend systems
- 5+ years of experience in ML Engineering, MLOps, or data-intensive platform development
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Deep understanding of software design patterns and architectural best practices
- Experience designing and scaling microservices architectures using containers (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and their ML services
- Proven track record of leading technical projects from conception to deployment
Responsibilities
- Own the long-term technical roadmap, including the design and implementation of high-availability and high-performance services and infrastructure for the AI/ML platform
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert, aligning engineering, data science, product, and security teams on platform requirements and best practices
- Define and execute the strategic vision for MLOps, including model versioning, feature stores, drift detection, and CI/CD pipelines that handle sensitive healthcare data securely
- Develop resilient backend services and APIs (RESTful, gRPC) that integrate various components of the ML system and core services
- Mentor and coach engineers across all levels, fostering a culture of engineering excellence, system observability, and thorough documentation
- Act as an escalation point for complex production issues, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform adheres to healthcare standards such as FHIR, HL7, and HIPAA regulations
