Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience developing generative AI products
- Proficiency in prototyping and identifying new opportunities for AI applications
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of early-phase AI projects, from ideation to production and maintenance
- Strong understanding of deep product and business integration of AI models
- Expertise in AI indexing, retrieval systems, personalization, or natural language processing
- Experience with scalable AI infrastructure and deployment strategies
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of AI systems aimed at enhancing user experience and platform capabilities
- Design and implement strategies to measure and improve AI performance and relevance
- Collaborate with product teams to identify opportunities for AI integration and innovation
- Break down complex AI challenges into engineering strategies utilizing machine learning, data analysis, and experimentation
- Mentor team members and promote best practices in data science and AI engineering
- Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and incorporate them into Figma’s product roadmap
- Ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of AI models in production environments

- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate abstract modeling tasks into practical solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas effectively

- Experience planning multi-year AI roadmaps aligned with business goals
