The AI Product Expansion (AIPEX) team at Google is looking to leverage advances in AI to build new products, features, and capabilities, bringing state-of-the-art AI research, particularly in image generation and LLMs, to various products and solving real user problems.
Requirements
- Proficiency in applying machine learning/deep learning models to real world problems.
- Proficiency in Python/C++
- 3 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning and/or natural language processing.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on new products and features using cutting edge AI.
- Train, evaluate, and launch new LLM solutions for real user problems
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.
- Help set engineering standards and processes, resourcing, deployment, testing, essentially everything on this new project.
- Iterating on pushing the boundaries of the underlying AI research to meet product needs, in collaboration with AI researchers.
- Executing on full SDLC.

- Comfortable with uncertainty and are excited to build new backend systems from scratch quickly.
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- 1 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.
- US base salary range for this full-time position is between 197,000 USD - 291,000 USD+ bonus + equity + benefits.
