Requirements
- Deep understanding of Android development and best practices in Kotlin and/or Java
- Experience building consumer or business-facing products
- Proficiency in writing reliable, maintainable, and scalable code
- Knowledge of Android components such as Activity Lifecycle, memory management, and performance optimization
- Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate them into projects
- Experience with automated testing and ensuring high-quality code
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Pinner-facing frontend features in Android to support Pinterest’s vision of inspiration
- Lead and contribute to all phases of product development, from ideation and rapid prototyping to implementation and deployment
- Design scalable solutions that can support millions of users globally
- Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to build seamless end-to-end functionality
- Propose new product ideas and features based on user insights and industry trends
- Implement automated testing to ensure high technical quality and reliability of features
- Maintain and improve existing codebases while exploring innovative technologies
