Hiro is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join their API team to build and scale backend systems and APIs that empower developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience building and shipping production applications, with a focus on backend systems or API-driven services
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Rust
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and scaling web APIs or microservices
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with modern cloud and container infrastructure
- Passion for code quality and automation
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that drive Hiro’s developer platform
- Ensure high performance and reliability of APIs
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps to plan and implement new features end-to-end
- Write and automate thorough tests for code
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems as needed
- Work across the stack when necessary to deliver complete solutions

- Salary Range (regardless of location, benchmarked annually) $150,000 - $200,000
