The Boeing Company is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Onboard Performance Tool group, focusing on airplane performance and flight operations for Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle
- 1+ years of experience with C, C++ or Java
- C++ development experience is preferred on both MacOS and Windows
- Understanding of commercial, business and military airplane performance regulations a plus
- Experience with agile software development, CI/CD environments, and cloud hosting of applications is desirable
- FORTRAN and SQL skills are a plus
- Previous customer support and technical product management of airplane performance tools is desirable
Responsibilities
- Contributes to the development, documentation, and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
- Develops code and integrates complex software components into fully functional software systems.
- Provides technical guidance and collaborates with team members and suppliers on software projects.
- Participates in the development, selection, tailoring, and deployment of processes, tools, and metrics.
- Assists in planning, executing, and documenting software research and development projects.
- Acts as a subject matter resource for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
- Monitors and evaluates software team and supplier performance to help ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
