Peraton is looking to solve the problem of modernizing the Tomahawk Weapon Systems (TWS) by developing and implementing microservices architecture and delivering precision targeting, route planning, mission distribution, and strike management capabilities for Tomahawk cruise missile operations
Requirements
- Must have proficiency in at least one modern programming language
- Experience understanding of the software development lifecycle (through coursework, internships, or hands-on experience)
- Exposure to Windows and/or Linux development environments
- Familiarity with Angular, C, and .NET Core is a plus
- Basic understanding of automated testing techniques
- Interest in UI/UX principles and user-centered design
- Exposure to modernizing legacy systems using microservices architecture
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of microservices architecture to modernize systems used by Navy personnel
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to solution delivery
- Gain proficiency in technologies such as Angular, C, and PostgreSQL, and contribute to the development of mission-critical applications
- Learn and support containerization strategies to enable scalable deployment and maintain security standards
- Assist in ensuring compliance with DevSecOps practices and Navy cybersecurity protocols
- Participate in Agile development activities, following Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates and address technical issues

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or a HS Degree with 4 years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
