Rubrik Atlas is the core data path for all Rubrik products and needs to evolve to support expanding applications, hardware storage platforms, and cloud protection. The business problem is to guide the next stage of the evolution of the data platform to ensure it remains fault-tolerant, scalable, and performant across all environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in Distributed File System
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development
- Experience in building systems at scale and backend development
- Hands-on coding skills in C++
- Experience with storage solutions or data protection is a huge plus
- Experience with nuances of public cloud features and costs (like compute, storage, networking, data services) on public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver cutting-edge solutions for the evolution of Rubrik's data platform.
- Outline architectural principles for building towards future system changes.
- Prototype changes and work with the team to realize the vision in a production-quality system.
- Provide technical direction that impacts multiple teams across Rubrik.
- Work on features such as cloud storage-backed file systems with effective cost analysis.
- Build data formats optimized for read and write performance for all workloads.
- Implement deduplication, compression, reliability, resiliency, infinite scalability, and performance tooling using eBPF.
