Docusign is looking to build and scale its core identity and access management services to power key authentication experiences across its global ecosystem, ensuring secure, reliable, and highly available authentication for millions of users daily.

Requirements

  • Experience developing backend systems in production environments
  • Experience with a modern backend language such as C-Sharp, Java, Go, or Node.js
  • Experience designing and operating distributed systems and microservices architectures
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, message queues, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience with data storage technologies (SQL, NoSQL, or distributed caches) and performance optimization techniques
  • Deep understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Service Fabric, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain distributed backend services that power Docusign’s identity and authentication systems
  • Build and operate highly available APIs and microservices that handle user login, credential management, and token issuance at scale
  • Work closely with the security and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance, resilience, and best-in-class security practices
  • Deliver high-quality, secure, and maintainable code through design reviews, testing, and CI/CD automation
  • Drive technical discussions around architecture, scalability, and fault-tolerance for globally distributed systems
  • Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to improving observability, monitoring, and incident response processes
  • Learn emerging technologies and authentication standards such as WebAuthn, FIDO2, OAuth 2.1, and OIDC continuously
