Requirements
- 5+ years industry experience in a backend software engineering role.
- Passion for software engineering design, with an interest in the latest developments in AI/ML.
- Ability to set technical and cultural standards for engineers, with a proven track record of technical leadership
Responsibilities
- Designing and building robust, scalable backends.
- Collaborating with frontend engineers to design the optimal APIs to deliver intuitive and snappy interfaces to end users.
- Working with product managers and designers to understand user pain points and create the best product experience.
- Interfacing with other engineering teams to ensure the features you own are integrated with downstream and upstream systems.
- Troubleshooting production issues and contributing to improving stability through testing and other initiatives.
- Setting the direction for not only your team but the entire engineering organization
- Improving the company through mentorship, interviewing, and new initiatives
Other
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a technical field such as Physics or Mathematics.
- Enthusiasm for building user-facing products, shipping features quickly, and incorporating user feedback.
- Strong technical communication and teamwork skills.
