Google Cloud's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing technologies dedicated to advancing the multi-tenant infrastructure, using fundamental design principles for providing isolation and resource governance guarantees.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in building and developing infrastructure or distributed systems.
- 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with C++ syntax, data types, operators, and control structures.
- Experience with distributed, multi-tenant systems (e.g., cloud services/runtimes).
- Experience in deploying security isolation technologies (e.g., memory safe languages like Rust, MicroVMs).
- Experience with Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Guide design reviews with peers and<bos> stakeholders to select among available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
