Requirements

  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with iOS application development in C++.
  • Experience with the Chrome Tech Stack, C++, web application development, full-stack development, and related technologies.
  • Experience with software experiment design and analysis to measure the impact of new features and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to embrace and master the wide range of technologies continually utilized in a large-scale project like Chrome.

Responsibilities

  • Build the underlying infrastructure to enable AI-based browser features.
  • Collaborate closely with other Chrome iOS pods to build and ship AI features.
  • Develop prototypes quickly to validate interactions and product designs.
  • Optimize applications to maximize speed and scale, factoring in mobile network latency and bandwidth constraints.
  • Work in the open-source Chromium repository as well as Google’s proprietary code base.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Understanding of user needs and translating them into innovative solutions.
  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
