The New York Times is looking to enable engineering teams to ship code with high velocity and quality by building and improving their Internal Developer Platform.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software programming(language-agnostic, but we use Go) and scripting like bash
- 2+ years of infrastructure provisioning and monitoring using Terraform and DataDog or Prometheus and with cloud services like AWS or GCP
- 2+ years of experience working with CI/CD systems like Github Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD
- Experience troubleshooting issues with users: You are motivated by helping others succeed
- 2+ years of experience running and troubleshooting workloads on Kubernetes clusters (understanding of resources management and observability)
- Experience in prompt engineering or building AI-powered internal tools
Responsibilities
- Help develop infrastructure and observability for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment platform that supports hundreds of builds and deployments per day to ensure system reliability and scalability
- Production support of our users, including weekly on-call rotations
