We are looking for a backend engineer to help build and evolve the systems that power Crusoe Cloud’s observability platform.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Go or Python (experience with both is a plus)
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and data processing pipelines
- Familiarity with containerized environments and Kubernetes
- Experience building systems that process or store large volumes of data
- Interest in learning and contributing to observability, monitoring, or telemetry systems
- Exposure to observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki, or Jaeger
- Experience with streaming or messaging systems (Kafka, NATS, Pulsar)
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining backend services and APIs that power observability and monitoring systems
- Designing reliable data ingestion and processing pipelines for metrics, logs, and traces
- Developing scalable storage and query layers for telemetry data using modern distributed systems
- Collaborating with platform and SRE teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and visibility
- Implementing automation and integrations that make observability data more actionable for engineers
- Helping to modernize and extend Crusoe’s internal observability tools and infrastructure
- Participating in code reviews, design discussions, and platform-wide technical initiatives
