RTX's Avionics Operations' Factory Enablement & Support organization is seeking a Software Engineer Co-Op to develop back-end, server-side applications for data extraction, staging, and provision for front-end tools, supporting manufacturing support applications and Advanced Manufacturing Initiatives.
Requirements
- Assist in the design, development and maintenance of software applications using C, MVC, Vue.js among others.
- Assist in the writing and optimization of SQL queries to manage and retrieve data efficiently.
- Participate in all phases of the Software development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing and deployment.
- Improve knowledge and experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Improve knowledge and experience in applying software design principles and patterns.
- Improve knowledge and experience in version control systems (e.g., SVN) and collaborative tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Enhance your problem-solving skills by tackling real-world challenges and debugging complex issues.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Debug and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
- Document code and software processes for future reference and maintainability.
Other
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May/June- December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
- Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
