Zipcar is looking to add new talent to their team to support the development and maintenance of their billing systems and financial operations, which are critical to processing payments and managing financial workflows for their car sharing platform.
Requirements
- Languages: Ruby, Java
- Architecture: RESTful APIs, Microservices
- Databases: PostgreSQL
- Cloud & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS/GCP/Azure
- Tools: Git, Jira, IntelliJ, Postman
- Familiarity with financial systems, billing processes, or accounting principles
- Experience with SQL databases and data analysis
Responsibilities
- Support billing system maintenance and invoice processing workflows
- Assist with integration testing for payment systems and customer billing processes
- Contribute to billing documentation and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with new billing engine transition and migration activities
- Investigate and resolve billing-related support tickets and discrepancies
- Collaborate with finance and engineering teams on system upgrades
- Support compliance reporting and seasonal billing volume management
Other
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Minimum GPA 3.0
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical and business teams
