RTX seeks a Software Engineer Co-Op to apply Software Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing operations to achieve site goals. The overarching responsibilities are improving quality, reducing costs, and improving the flow of products through automation and process improvements.
Requirements
- Develop software using .NET ecosystem, Microsoft SQL Server, and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement robust server-side solutions.
- Modify and improve existing codebases for enhanced performance and scalability.
- Conduct software design and code reviews, integrating best practices and innovations.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
- Participate in system integration and project milestone completion under guidance from mentors.
- Working towards a BS in Software Engineering or Computer Science.

- Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments.
- Track record of driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
