Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. For this role, the business problem is to develop technologies from diffusion models and transformers to Gemini prompting and integration, that revolutionize the editing, and creation of visual media, with the potential to unlock many new experiences for users.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with Machine Learning.
- Experience in Research Science.
- Experience in Computer Vision/Graphics.
- Experience with interactive camera applications, optimizations.
- Experience in deep learning, modeling and other areas related but not limited to image and video synthesis and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Perform research, develop and apply innovative research in goal/graphics/ML to a number of applications at Google.
- Work with several product teams, including the Google Camera App team, Google Photos, and collaborate extensively with other research teams.
- Help make pictures/videos with very high quality that are also engaging, fun, or magical.
- Develop technologies from diffusion models and transformers to Gemini prompting and integration, that revolutionize the editing, and creation of visual media, with the potential to unlock many new experiences for users.
- Develop and apply innovative research in vision/graphics/Machine Learning (ML) to a number of applications at Google.
- Research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
