Snowflake is looking for a Software Engineer to join their Customer Experience Engineering Team to build intelligent data applications that provide insights into diagnostic data and technical content relevant to customer issues. The goal is to reduce friction points for customers and improve their experience with the Snowflake product by developing features that extract intelligence from various data sources.

Requirements

  • Experience with modern application design architecture, good API design patterns, performance and scale
  • Expertise in at least one of the following (bonus for more than one): React, TypeScript, Java, Python
  • Experience with software engineering best practices: unit testing, code reviews, design documentation

Responsibilities

  • Implement projects that span our stack, including React, TypeScript, Nginx, Node.js, Java among other technologies
  • Pinpoint problems, instrument relevant components as needed, and ultimately implement solutions
  • Build an industry-leading data management system that customers love
  • Solve challenging technical problems related to complex data manipulation, interactive UI design, performance optimization, and more!
  • Building and learning about the user interfaces bridging the enterprise world with the consumer experience
  • Extracting intelligence from a wide variety of data sources, including structured and unstructured data
  • Develop features into the Snowflake product that aim to greatly reduce friction points that block customers

Other

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including product management and design
  • Deliver features requiring close coordination with several partner teams
  • Be a participant in defining the product vision and team planning
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written and an interest in working with a diverse set of peers and external developers
  • Genuine enjoyment of the art of building great software, and a love of learning new things
