Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to write modular, maintainable, and performant code in Python
- Experience with data analysis (Polars, Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Plotly) and fundamentals in math and statistics
- Experience deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, GCP) and building software that integrates with these platforms
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, operating systems, and concurrency
- Proficient with developer tooling, including Linux command line, Git, and shell scripting
- Ability to think from first principles and tackle complex, cross-disciplinary problems with other scientists and engineers
- Track record of owning software projects end-to-end, from defining requirements to building scalable solutions

Other
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science)
- Experience with laboratory automation (liquid handling, robotics)

- 3+ years of relevant professional experience, or a graduate degree
