Capital One Software is looking to build and prototype new features for their next-generation data and cloud security platform, focusing on AI-enabled agents and data security solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software engineering (internship experience not applicable)
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Minimum of 3 years of programming experience in Java, Python, C++, Rust, or Go
- Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
- Experience with container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of cloud-based lakehouse platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS Athena
- Hands-on experience in building production-scale AI systems, including fine-tuning large language models and deploying them for customer use
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems focused on data security and governance
- Drive the prototyping of innovative features for our data and cloud security platform, ensuring alignment with customer needs and industry standards
- Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and engineering tasks
- Make strategic trade-offs to balance project delivery timelines with engineering best practices and quality standards
- Experiment with emerging Data & AI technologies, including Agentic AI, LLM fine-tuning, and cloud data warehouses
- Build and optimize AI-enabled agents and models for data classification, sensitive data detection, and security automation
- Partner with cross-functional teams across engineering, security, data science, design, and go-to-market functions to ensure seamless project execution
