Ankura's research and development lab, the Analytics Institute, uses real-world data sets to evaluate the behavior, accuracy, and effectiveness of AI, machine learning, and other advanced analytics approaches. The team is comprised of PhD-educated scientists, data engineers, and consultants. We are looking for mid-level software engineer who is passionate about applying AI and machine learning techniques to a variety of exciting applications.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language from C-Sharp, Python, or Java.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Understanding Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts.
  • Prior experience in front-end development is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement functions for our analytics applications.
  • Develop, test, and maintain software using one or more programming languages: C-Sharp, Python, or Java.
  • Contribute to the development of front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
  • Plan, initiate, and manage projects from conception through completion, ensuring deliverables deadlines.
  • Continuously improve and learn new skills to enhance software development practices.

Other

  • Minimum of 5 years in Software Engineering.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position will be based in Washington, DC or New York City and will be on a hybrid schedule.
