At Boeing, the business problem is to build the brain of a mission-critical radar processing ecosystem, which requires a Software Engineer–Developer to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Strong DevSecOps experience across the software lifecycle: CI/CD pipeline design and operation, automated testing, and secure release processes.
  • Proficient in C++ development and familiar with managing multiple repositories, branching strategies, and PR validation.
  • Experience building and validating across platforms using Docker.
  • 1+ years’ experience in Python/C++ programming on full stack software projects/programs
  • Experience with AWS, AWS Lambdas, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and interfaces
  • Familiarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native and real-time orchestration components that coordinate radar processing workflows and downstream products.
  • Lead and contribute to DevSecOps pipelines: CI/CD, automated testing, secure build/release flows, and deployment automation.
  • Manage multiple C++ and mixed-language code repositories, implement build/test pipelines, and maintain cross-platform compatibility and CI validation.
  • Implement automated regression tests and validation suites, and ensure repeatable, auditable release processes.
  • Integrate partner systems and simulation inputs (e.g., supply chain / transport simulations) to increase system fidelity and analytics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex multi-environment bugs to increase reliability across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Work with product and systems teams to harden software for operational and mission environments; contribute to threat modeling and secure design reviews.

Other

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for U.S. Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
