Epic Games is looking to support their end users in using the MetaHuman product and character creation pipeline, and to improve the tools and technology that empower content developers worldwide.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine, specifically in areas relevant to characters (Animation Blueprints, performance profiling with Insights, rendering, rigging, physics, etc.)
  • Experience using Maya, Houdini, or other DCC applications
  • Prior experience with or active interest in MetaHuman technology
  • Experience with game development or VFX pipelines focused on digital human technologies
  • Groom experience with Houdini or similar tools
  • Technical writing background or experience creating customer-facing documentation
  • Experience with FACS (Facial Action Coding System)-based facial rigs

Responsibilities

  • Consult MetaHuman customers on complex problems in rigging, facial rigging, animation, groom setup, clothing, physics, and rendering
  • Support customers through character pipeline workflows, troubleshooting, solving technical issues and debug and reproduce customer issues
  • Create and present knowledge-sharing resources such as live presentations, tutorials, and documentation
  • Maintain conversations with internal and external multidisciplinary teams to influence the direction of the product through customer insights
  • Advocate for our customers' adoption and continued use of MetaHuman and for continuously improving the MetaHuman platform
  • Work closely with the development teams within Epic, serving as a direct liaison between them and our customers
  • Represent Epic Games asynchronously on our support portal and in person by attending trade shows and traveling to visit customers directly
