Visionist has an exciting new, fully FUNDED opportunity for a Software Engineer with a focus on DevOps and Automation on our largest PRIME contract. Our team of Analysts and Engineers is motivated by the direct impact on the mission, crafting specialized tools for enhanced efficiency and quick iterations for our operations user base.
Requirements
- Extensive experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with containerization platforms such as Docker
- Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Packer, Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience developing and deploying in a Linux environment
- Passion for system reliability engineering, including collecting metrics and improving system resilience and software performance in production
- Experience with structured databases such as PostgreSQL or SQLite
Responsibilities
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments in a production environment
- Leverage advanced technologies, including AI models and tools, to manage and automate build processes
- Translate complex mission requirements into end-to-end solutions as part of a collaborative team
- Manage and maintain an essential GitLab deployment, including CI/CD infrastructure
- Build services and tooling to automate infrastructure deployment and operations
- Collect and analyze metrics from applications, hardware, and network appliances using open source and proprietary software
- Communicate effectively with customers, gathering feedback on project status, progress, and results
Other
- Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
- 12 years of experience in software development
- U.S citizenship required (green card holders and permanent residents are not eligible).
