Otter.ai is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to help automate and optimize their systems and infrastructure, focusing on continuous integration, testing, monitoring, and configuration management to ensure large-scale, reliable, and scalable systems.
Requirements
- Have some experience with Linux systems and basic system administration.
- Are familiar with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
- Understand core concepts of cloud infrastructure and containerization (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
- You have familiarity with AWS services (i.e. ECS, S3, ALB, VPC) is a plus
- You have knowledge in containers and orchestration using Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Help automate the continuous integration and testing processes to enable and scale
- Help automate and optimize our continuous integration (CI) and testing workflows
- Assist in designing and implementing monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Learn and support configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Dig into logs, metrics, and data to diagnose and solve system issues.
- Collaborate with engineers to propose and implement solutions.
- Optionally participate in mock or shadow on-call rotations to gain real-world SRE experience.
