The Boeing Company is seeking Software Engineers–DevSecOps to support our Open Architecture Systems Integrated Software Solutions, focusing on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. The role aims to integrate hardware, software, and mission systems in secure environments, ensuring system performance, security, and mission assurance through modern DevSecOps practices.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with the DevSecOps lifecycle
- 2+ years of experience in integrated technical planning, requirements and functional analysis, requirements management and verification
- 2+ years of experience with Vulnerability Scanning/Assessment
- 2+ years of experience in Cloud Computing and Infrastructure Management
- Knowledge of host environments, including processors, operating systems and networks. Ability to build, integrate and troubleshoot software components.
- Knowledge of software programming languages and databases and the ability to apply to the software domain. Programming languages encompass higher order languages, auto-coded languages and assembly languages.
- Ability to design and develop automation of software tests, execute automated tests, track results, manage test data, and utilize results to improve software quality
Responsibilities
- Review, develop, document, and maintain system requirements and traceability across the lifecycle
- Apply modern DevSecOps practices—including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerized deployments, and infrastructure as code—to streamline integration and test activities
- Stand up, configure, and maintain secure test environments leveraging cloud-native and virtualized resources (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-premises equivalents)
- Use model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and requirements management tools to support design, analysis, and traceability
- Automates, develops, monitors, improves, and troubleshoots across software engineering development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls
- Analyzes, plans, and executes mitigation strategies to prevent potential security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities
- Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulations in the software engineering DevSecOps environment

- This position may require around 20% travel.
