The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Software Engineer–DevSecOps to support the Proteus Team in Colorado Springs, Colorado, focusing on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization, specifically with the Gitlab CI/CD Pipeline Infrastructure and development tools and services deployed on Kubernetes namespaces.
Requirements
- 2+ years of development experience using Python
- 2+ years of experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD))
- 2+ years of experience with containerization and Kubernetes (e.g. Elastic Kubernetes Service, Azure Kubernetes Service)
- Experience working with Helm
- Experience with Terraform
- Familiarity with other languages including Java
Responsibilities
- Assists with development, documentation and maintenance of standardized, efficient processes, tools, methodologies, and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle and enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of safety critical software.
- Supports automation, development, monitoring, improvement and troubleshooting across software development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls.
- Contributes to analysis, plans, and execution of mitigation strategies to prevent potential security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Supports implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulations in the software engineering DevSecOps environment.

- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Ability to design and develop automation of software tests, execute automated tests, track results, manage test data, and utilize results to improve software quality
- Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.
- U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
