The Boeing Company is seeking a Lead Software Engineer–DevSecOps to support the Space Battle Management Command and Control (SBMC2) team, focusing on CI/CD pipeline development and classified network solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related work experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud environments (AWS and Azure) and DevSecOps practices
  • 5+ years of Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies, including Git, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C-Sharp, Java, and Python
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including risk management frameworks
  • Experience with Distributive Interactive Simulation (DIS) standards and operator-in-the-loop real-time simulation
  • Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Grafana, and Prometheus

Responsibilities

  • Implements an environment that enables high levels of quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams to build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure software engineering systems
  • Consults on current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulations in the software engineering DevSecOps environment
  • Advises on automation, development, monitoring, improvement, and troubleshooting across software development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls
  • Oversees development, documentation and maintenance of standardized, efficient, and innovative processes, tools, methodologies, and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle and enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of safety critical software
  • Oversees analyses, planning, and execution of mitigation strategies to prevent potential security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities
  • Architect, develop, document, and maintain standardized, efficient, and innovative processes, tools, methodologies, and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle

  • 3+ years of leading technical teams and mentor junior engineers
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required
  • Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  • No more than 10% travel required
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field (preferred)
