Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern to support the Mission Systems Integration Engineering organization. In this role, you will work closely with a team of engineers to develop embedded diagnostic software such as device drivers, Built-In-Test libraries, and special test equipment software for our mission processors and computers.
Requirements
- experience writing low-level software in C or C++
- Academic or professional experience using C, C++, C-Sharp, or Java
- Academic or professional experience on at least one team-based project
- Experience writing or debugging hardware control software, or using programmable single board computers (such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar)
- Basic understanding of software development methodologies (especially Agile)
- Basic understanding of full software life-cycle development and process
- Experience with Git/GitLab, Visual Studio, or Atlassian products

- Pursuing a B.S. in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent STEM computing field

- Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
