Boeing is seeking experienced and senior level Software Engineers to support the development and maintenance of flight and subsystem control software for multiple fixed wing programs within the Vehicle Management Systems Software Team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with C, C++, C-Sharp, Python, Java, or Ada
- 3+ years of experience with version control systems such as Git, ClearCase, or Subversion
- Software development experience in a collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and automated DevOps processes/tools
- Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence
- Experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Java, Ada, and/or Python
- Experience working on an Agile team in a collaborative environment
Responsibilities
- Direct the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of safety critical software systems for LOR1 VMS applications.
- Define and implement VMS architectures that align with customer needs and Boeing standards.
- Direct verification and validation for VMS in compliance with internal (Design Practices) and industry standards and regulations (LOR1, 516C, DO-178, 882e).
- Investigate and resolve VMS software-related issues reported by users or that occur during system operation.
- Advise and partner with cross-functional engineering teams to identify, review, and inform requirements and specifications for VMS.
- Provide technical leadership on the development of VMS and direct the integration of externally-generated functions into VMS.
- Drive software execution to deliver products on-cost and on-schedule to programs.
