HII's Mission Technologies division is looking to develop innovative technology solutions to ensure the Nation achieves and maintains space superiority in a multi-domain conflict by developing space combat power and multi-domain simulation software.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C++, including compiling, linking, and debugging
- Experience with agent-based, event-driven modeling and simulation
- Foundational space knowledge (e.g., orbital mechanics, coordinate systems, time systems)
- Must pass a technical coding assessment in C++
- Proficiency in Python, including embedded applications
- Knowledge of space domain awareness and space combat power
- Familiarity with parallel software development
Responsibilities
- Lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers
- Design, develop, test, and maintain space simulation software
- Support force structure planning, Digital Test and Training – Synthetic Environment, and Joint Combatant Command analysis
- Collaborate with government stakeholders and customers to capture requirements and deliver solutions
- Contribute to software architecture and multidisciplinary research
- Communicate progress and updates via Confluence, Discourse, GitLab, and Jira
Other
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Passion for problem-solving and thriving in agile environments
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
- Background in math or physics
- Familiarity with U.S. and Allied space enterprise operations
