Muon Space builds systems for designing, testing, launching, and operating satellite constellations. The company is looking for an Entry-Level Software Engineer to contribute to these efforts, developing expertise in a chosen domain while working on challenging problems and cutting-edge technologies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C++, Python, TypeScript, or similar)
- Coursework, internships, or projects demonstrating knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and statistics
- Familiarity with embedded software, networking protocols, or hardware/software testing
- Exposure to cloud environments, distributed systems, or data pipelines
- Understanding of physics, orbital mechanics, or autonomous systems
- Interest in mathematical optimization, machine learning, or advanced algorithms
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and testing of new software capabilities for ground or space systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Collaborate with teammates to propose and iterate on software designs
- Conduct analysis to support both development and validation of systems
- Learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
- Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Deliver work reliably and on schedule
- This position requires access to export controlled information.
