PayPal is looking to implement tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to build and enhance experimentation platform features, scale experimentation across PayPal's ecosystem, and troubleshoot platform issues.
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (Java, Python, or similar), with strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms, measurement systems, or A/B testing frameworks.
- Experience with data pipelines, streaming/messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark), or real-time analytics.
- Understanding of cloud-native systems, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance velocity, quality, and scalability trade-offs.
Responsibilities
- Implements tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff
- Build and enhance experimentation platform features.
- Own features end-to-end, from requirements analysis and implementation to testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Contribute to scaling experimentation across PayPal’s ecosystem, including mobile apps, web flows, and backend services.
- Participate in system design discussions, ensuring solutions balance scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and proactively identify opportunities to improve resiliency and developer experience.
- Engage in code and design reviews, upholding high standards of engineering rigor and technical quality.

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Collaborate with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Product, Data Science, ML, and Business Tech) to deliver experimentation capabilities aligned with PayPal’s needs.
