Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is looking to solve the problem of designing and developing advanced air vehicles, including the F-35 Pilot Systems Software (PSSW), Multi-Function Display (MFD), and Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) Teams, by hiring a software engineer to lead in the design, development, test and integration of real-time, embedded display software for TR3 and TR2 hardware.

Requirements

  • C++ experience

  • Unix/Linux experience
  • Experience with large real time embedded software development
  • SW Architecture and Design, with Design Pattern experience
  • Agile/Scrum Development experience
  • Graphics (OpenGL/Vulkan), C++/python/JavaScript, QT QML, Embedded linux, Parsing/code generation

Responsibilities

  • Design, development, test and integration of real-time, embedded display software for TR3 and TR2 hardware
  • Lead in the design, development, test and integration of real-time, embedded display software
  • Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment
  • Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
  • Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls
  • Ensures software standards are met

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an Interim Secret clearance to start
  • Bachelors degree or above required within Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related major; Master's degree preferred
  • Ability to work onsite full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility
  • 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week schedule
