The AI & Data Platform (AiDP) team aims to create highly scalable applications focused on end-user needs, supporting Apple's broader mission of innovation and excellence.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience designing and developing scalable & performant microservices and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or similar.
- 3+ years or more of hands-on proficiency with Java and/or Python or similar language.
- Experience in building and deploying cloud-native applications/products.
- Working experience with Big data technologies and data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with distributed computing technologies.
Responsibilities
- Building various tools and features for Data and ML platforms, including data processing, insights portal, data observability, data lineage, model hub, and data visualization.
- Working on building custom solutions from the ground up or customizing open-source products for Apple’s needs.
- Building innovative tools and frameworks that can extend the functionality of third-party BI tools using APIs.
- Designing and developing scalable and performant microservices and REST APIs.
- Engaging directly with key business partners to understand business strategies and solution needs.
- Driving and leading functional and technical discussions with development teams.
- Designing and owning end-to-end applications.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity in working with frontend frameworks.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
- Prior experience in the areas of AI/ML/Data Sciences will be a strong plus.
