DoorDash Labs is looking for a frontend engineer to build and maintain web client applications, both internal and external, to help scale their products. The role involves developing and defining frontend architecture, prototyping new product use cases, and contributing to scaling operations.
Requirements
- Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture (HTTP, REST, gRPC)
- Mastery of the foundations of the web: vanilla JS, HTML5, CSS3
- Deep understanding of REST principles and experience working with and implementing backend APIs
- Experience designing and architecting web solutions working cross team with product and design
- Experience with React/Redux, or similar frameworks
- Experience working with Express and Node.js servers
- Experience with documentation, unit and integration testing

- Develop and define the frontend architecture and tech stack for a new product area
- Brainstorm and come up with innovative solutions to enable scaling our operations at various stages
- Be excited to learn more about and contribute to other adjacent disciplines (data analysis, backend, etc) when possible

- interacting closely with backend engineers to design and architect scalable solutions to support all product functionality
Other
- 6+ years of industry experience
- collaborating cross-functionally, as well as evaluating and executing on trade-offs to maximize business impact for the product
- B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience building simple SQL queries for data analysis
- Experience with Java/Kotlin
