The Internal Platform at Squarespace is critical for supporting growth initiatives at scale, from developing tools for Customer Operations advisors to empowering Marketing with integrated platforms to create and measure global campaigns, leveraging generative AI and the latest cloud technologies.
Requirements
- Strong JavaScript development skills, understanding of new ES6 concepts, and proficiency in React, Angular, or other modern JS frameworks
- Experience developing large-scale application software
- Have full knowledge of the DOM, new HTML5 constructs, and CSS3
- Have experience with Single Page Application development
- Keep up-to-date with the newest technologies
- Understanding of, and practical experience with, web application development
- Experience in backend development using Java, Python, C, or similar languages
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve internal and external customer-facing support products and services
- Collaborate with engineers, designers and product owners to create a user-focused experience
- Keep our product updated with the latest frontend technologies such as React and ES2016+
- Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code)
- Contribute to team and company standards
- Encourage the technical growth of your team and teammates
- Develop features and create fulfilling user experiences

- This is a hybrid position, you will report to an Engineering Manager in our New York City headquarters 3 days out of the week.
