Google Public Sector's Sovereign Mission Solutions team is looking to hire a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy solutions that address the unique needs of their public sector clients, helping them accelerate digital transformations.
Requirements
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience in languages such as Java, C++, Go, Python, or full-stack development.
- Certification in: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist or CKS.
- 2 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- Experience with AI, deep learning, or natural language processing.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop prototypes and build front-ends and back-ends for greenfield projects.
- Work with GPS Sovereign Engineering and Google Distribute Cloud Engineering to survey existing pain points, and propose solutions and improvements.
- Participate in and lead architecture and engineering designs with peers and stakeholders, and exercise technical judgment (e.g. deciding between available technologies).
- Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Articulate technical concepts and analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences, including engineers and executives.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in software development.
- 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph.
