Google Public Sector is looking to address the unique needs of their public sector clients by designing, developing, and deploying solutions, specifically focusing on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations

Requirements

  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience in languages such as Java, C++, Go, Python, or full-stack development
  • Certification in Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist or CKS
  • 2 years of experience with data structures/algorithms
  • Experience with AI, deep learning, or natural language processing
  • Experience developing accessible technologies

Responsibilities

  • Develop prototypes and build front-ends and back-ends for greenfield projects
  • Collaborate with GPS Sovereign Engineering and Google Distribute Cloud Engineering to survey existing pain points, and propose solutions and improvements
  • Lead architecture and engineering designs with peers and stakeholders, and exercise technical judgment (e.g. deciding between available technologies)
  • Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
  • Communicate technical concepts and analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences, including engineers and executives

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in software development
  • 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph
  • Obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work
