Google Public Sector (GPS) aims to help United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations by providing solutions purpose-built for enterprises. This role will design, develop, and deploy solutions to address the unique needs of these clients.

Requirements

  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience in languages such as Java, C++, Go, Python, or full-stack development.
  • Certification in Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist or CKS.
  • Experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • Experience with AI, deep learning, or natural language processing.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop prototypes and build front-ends and back-ends for greenfield projects.
  • Collaborate with GPS Sovereign Engineering and Google Distribute Cloud Engineering to survey existing pain points, and propose solutions and improvements.
  • Lead architecture and engineering designs with peers and stakeholders, and exercise technical judgment (e.g. deciding between available technologies).
  • Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Communicate technical concepts and analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences, including engineers and executives.

Other

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph.
  • Required to obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work.
