Google Public Sector is looking to address the unique needs of their public sector clients by designing, developing, and deploying solutions, and they need a skilled software developer to help achieve this goal.
Requirements
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience in languages such as Java, C++, Go, Python, or full-stack development.
- Certification in Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist or CKS.
- Experience with data structures/algorithms.
- Experience with AI, deep learning, or natural language processing.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop prototypes and build front-ends and back-ends for greenfield projects.
- Collaborate with GPS Sovereign Engineering and Google Distribute Cloud Engineering to survey existing pain points, and propose solutions and improvements.
- Lead architecture and engineering designs with peers and stakeholders, and exercise technical judgment (e.g. deciding between available technologies).
- Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Communicate technical concepts and analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences, including engineers and executives.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in software development.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph.
- Obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.
